Meet Dr. Brett Wells
Dr. Brett Wells was born in Columbia, South Carolina and has lived in Raleigh, North Carolina since the age of twelve. He has chosen to practice dentistry in what he considers to be his hometown of Raleigh. He attended Wake Forest-Rolesville Middle School, only a few miles from his practice, and graduated from Ravenscroft School where he played baseball and football. Dr. Wells then moved to Wilmington, North Carolina and graduated magna cum laude from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington.
Dr. Wells went on to graduate from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Dental School with honors. He then attended a one year Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) residency at the University of Florida where he trained with some of the top surgeons and general dentists in Northeast Florida. He returned to Raleigh and began working with a large group practice and has now opened his own practice.
When Dr. Wells isn't taking additional continuing education courses, he enjoys spending quality time with his family and friends, fishing, traveling and watching sports (especially the UNC Tarheels and, his passion, the Carolina Panthers NFL team!).

Tammy (Office Manager)
Tammy, our Patient Coordinator, was raised in Arizona and joined the military in 1989. After spending 4 years of active duty in the Army, she decided it was time to go to school and start a family. Tammy graduated from Delta Tech in Lake Charles, LA with a degree in Accounting. After spending the next couple of years traveling with her husband, she decided to attend Thompson College with aspirations of becoming a dental assistant. Tammy obtained her certification in dental assisting and graduated with honors in 2004. When not working with her favorite people, she enjoys working out, dancing, decorating and spending time with her family!
Meet Allie (Dental Assistant)
Allie is one of our Dental Assistants. She was born and raised in western Pennsylvania. She moved here about 3 years ago after finishing her dental assisting courses. Allie’s favorite part of her job is being part of a really great team that provides patients with the best care and attention. When Allie isn’t working she enjoys horseback riding, kickboxing, traveling, and hanging out with family and friends.
Meet Shannon (Dental Assistant)
Shannon is one of our two Dental Assistants. She was born and raised in Wake Forest, NC.. Shannon’s favorite aspect of her job is working with Dr. Wells and providing excellent patient care. When Shannon isn’t assisting she enjoys; shopping, watching sports, and spending time with friends and family.
Meet Courtney (Dental Hygienist)
Courtney is one of our dental hygienists. She was born and raised in the Raleigh area. Courtney attended Wake Tech Community College where she received her Associates in Dental Hygiene. Courtney was just married in April of 2009 to Josh. Together they enjoy working out, coaching tumbling, going to the beach and playing with their furry son Diesel.
Meet Stephanie (Patient Care Coordinator)
Stephanie, our Patient Care Coordinator, was raised in Eastern North Carolina. She graduated from Meredith College with a BA in Studio Art / Photography. She and her husband relocated to North Raleigh they are the proud parents of a 1 yr old lab/corgi mix. Her favorite part of working at Wells Family Dentistry is making connections with our patients. When not working with her Dental Family, she enjoys live music, old movies, photography, camping, cooking and a good laugh!
